Laboratory for Stem Cell Biology and Engineering

The mission of the UCSB Center in Stem Cell Biology and Engineering is to foster an interdisciplinary program of stem cell research and teaching in the emerging field of regenerative medicine.

Access Procedure: 

The UCSB Laboratory for Stem Cell Biology and Engineering (LSCBE) was established to provide a shared stem cell culture facility in support of human embryonic stem cell (hESC) research at UCSB and at neighboring institutions. The primary objectives of this facility are hESC culture training, research, and quality control. For access to the facility please set up a meeting with the Associate Director, Cassidy Hinman.

    The Accuri C6 is equip with 2 lasers: a 488nm solid state, blue laser and a 640nm diode, red laser. It features two light scatter detectors and four fluorescence detectors with optical filters optimized for the detection of fluorochromes such as FITC, PE, PerCP, and APC.
