Solution State NMR Spectrometer 500MHz

Instrument types
Make / Model :
Varian Unity Inova 500 MHz
These spectrometers located in Chemistry and Biochemistry are equipped with multiple solution-state NMR probes for direct or indirect detection of 1H/19F and low frequency nuclei such as 13C, 31P, and 15N.

The 400 and 500 MHz NMR spectrometers are dedicated to the needs of the synthetic chemists. Experiments conducted at the Facility range from routine 1D and 2D experiments for small molecule and polymer analysis at natural abundance to complex 3D and 4D multinuclear correlated experiments for protein structure determination using isotope-labeled samples.

Varian 1H-19F/{15N-31P} DB PFG, 5mm broadband (SWP)
  • Temp: -80 to +130 C
  • Three channels: 1H/19F, X and lock
  • Best for X nucleus detection. Manually tuned to 1H and 13C.
  • Autotuning not available.
Nalorac IDTX3G500-5E with PFG, 5mm (IDP)
  • Temp: -20C to 60C
  • Four channels: 1H/19F, X1, X2 and lock
  • Best for 1H direct detection and and indirect detection (in 2D experiments) of X nucleus ranging from 23 to 203 MHz
Nalorac MIDT3G500 indirect detection PFG, 3mm
  • Temp: -20 to 80C
  • Four channels: 1H, X1 (13C), X2 (15N) and lock
  • Best for direct detection of 1H and indirect detection of 13C and 15N
