UCSB and UCLA have joined together to form the California NanoSystems Insistute with the goal of developing information, biomedical and manufacturing technologies that will pave the way for science and economy in the 21st centuary. The CNSI builds on investments given by the State of California to better our future education, research and technology.  Seeking partnerships with organizations including fellow universities and national laboroties helps CNSI contribute to a collabortive center that will pool information, fueling the innovatiom in Nanosystems.  By recognizing that controlling, manipulating and manufacturing science and technology at a nanometer scale, the CNSI strives towards major breakthoughs in 21st centuary science.
